Lalamove to end food delivery service
Logistics services provider Lalamove Philippines is set to stop its food delivery operations under LalaFood effective February 15, as the company redirects its focus on its core business, according to a report by GMA News.
In a statement on Monday, LalaFood said the company will instead continue to expand its delivery services with plans already underway in both Manila and Pampanga by February 2021.
"We express our deepest gratitude to all of LalaFood's customers for your continued support, and to our partner riders and merchants who were with us throughout this journey," it said.

"2021 will continue to be another year of strong growth for Lalamove in the Philippines. We are committed to strengthening our investment in the Philippines to better serve our customers and provide more opportunities for our driver-partners and employees," it added.
Lalamove offers delivery services in over 100 cities across Mainland China, Southeast Asia, and India. In the Philippines alone, the company has over 45,000 partner drivers catering to clients in Manila and Cebu.
The company in 2019 announced plans to expand operations to Pampanga, as a usual destination of deliveries from clients in Manila.
"[W]e place great confidence in the Philippine market and we are excited for what lies ahead in 2021. The year is just unfolding and there's so much in store for us all," LalaFood said.
