Habagat enhances rain over Luzon

The southwest monsoon is expected to bring monsoon rains over Batanes, Cagayan including the Babuyan group of Islands, Isabela, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Aurora, Palawan, and the Mindoro provinces.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to occasional heavy rains.

The southwest monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, the rest of Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Rest of Cagayan Valley, Rest of Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Rest of MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of the country due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said flash floods and landslides are also possible.
