DOH reports 239 Covid-related deaths on Feb. 20
The Department of Health (DOH) has reported 504 new recoveries from the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on Saturday, bringing to 513,120 the total number of recoveries in the country, according to a report by Philippine News Agency.
The DOH, in its daily case bulletin, also logged 2,240 new Covid-19 cases.
The total number of active Covid-19 cases is 34,100, out of a cumulative total of 559,288 cases.
Meanwhile, the country's Covid-19 death toll rose to 12,068 with 239 new fatalities.
Of the active cases, 86.7 percent are said to be mild, 8.2 percent are asymptomatic, 2.3 percent are critical, 2.2 percent are severe, and 0.68 percent are moderate.
The DOH said there are enough Covid-19 facilities in the country with 62-percent availability of intensive care unit (ICU) beds, 68-percent availability for isolation beds, 77-percent availability of ward beds while ventilators have 80 percent total availability.
Aside from complying with the imposed minimum public health standards, the DOH enjoined the public to maintain a healthy lifestyle by doing regular exercises and eating healthy diets to further strengthen the body’s immune and defense system from any type of disease.
