Cities in NCR to start vaccination simultaneously
The vaccination programs of all cities in Metro Manila will be launched simultaneously, the chairman of the Metro Manila Council (MMC) said in a report by GMA News.
According to Joseph Morong’s “24 Oras” report, each city in the capital region will vaccinate 30% of its population, with frontline workers, the elderly, and members of the vulnerable sector as the priority.
Olivarez also said vaccinators will go house-to-house to inoculate the elderly who are not allowed to leave their homes amid the pandemic.
Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. earlier said the Philippines would begin COVID-19 vaccinations next month.
Metro Manila and Calabarzon are among the priority areas for vaccination due to their high number of COVID-19 cases.
Earlier this month, however, a survey found that only 25% of residents in the capital region were willing to get inoculated against COVID-19.
