Gov't announces 10,000 job openings
The government agreed to hire more than 10,000 workers as 700 agencies opened their doors to individuals seeking employment amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said the opening for thousands of jobseekers is part of its virtual career fair with an online employment company from September 14 to 18.
According to Jobstreet Philippines, 28 percent of the available civil service posts in the online career fair is from Calabarzon and Mimaropa, 18 percent from Central Visayas, and 15 percent in Western Visayas.
The positions include Deputy Register of Deeds, Admin Officer, Attorney, Accountant, Procurement Officer, among others.
Interested applicants may register by downloading and accomplishing a personal data sheet to be uploaded in a website which will serve as their resume.
“Join us in government. Let us serve together our fellowmen and our country, for indeed it is a privilege to be in government as we serve the country with utmost honesty, integrity, and excellence,” CSC Comm. Aileen Lizada urged.
“Ito ‘yung mismong protection natin, ginagawa nating online. ‘Di na kayo pipila. Ang mga requirements isa-submit na lang online. Ginawa natin itong mga prosesong ito para maging mas mabilis at madali sa mga nag-a-apply (We made it online for our protection, no need to queue. Requirements are submitted online. We opted for this to speed up the process and make it easier for the applicants),” Jobstreet Country Manager Philip Gioca shared.
At least 30,000 jobs from both public and private sectors are available in the said employment website, many of which have a work from home option.
The CSC assured that workers in the public service are protected by alternative work arrangement schemes amid the pandemic.
