Antipolo to host coffee festival

Coffee drinkers and enthusiasts are expected to troop to Antipolo City for Rizal Province’s first and biggest ever coffee festival on Oct. 1, coinciding with the celebration of the International Coffee Day, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.

Several coffee shops and suppliers from different parts of the province will converge to feature their products for the public to appreciate.

Booths will feature the best of the products of each exhibitors in the “Musikape” at the Ynares Provincial Capitol grounds from 8 a.m. up to 12 midnight.

The Rizal provincial government through the office of Gov. Nina Ricci Ynares (Chiongbian) and the city government of Antipolo through City Mayor Casimiro “Junjun” Ynares III are among the major sponsors of the event, which is presented by Kaulayaw Coffee.

The Department of Tourism (Calabarzon Office) and several private groups have partnered with the event organizers to bring to the public the very first coffee festival that will also feature live performances of local bands starting at 6 p.m.
