DOTr to deploy more P2P buses during Holy Week

in City News / Metro Manila by 454

The Department of Transportation will deploy 140 point-to-point (P2P) buses from April 15 to 17 and from April 20 to 21 to ferry passengers who might get stranded due to the maintenance shutdown of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 system during Holy Week.

The buses will operate the North Avenue-Taft Avenue route from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The deployment of the buses will be conducted in coordination with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, Land Transportation Office, Metro Manila Development Authority, Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group, and the Inter-Agency Council on Traffic.

The department earlier announced that operations of the MRT-3 would be shut down from April 15 to 21 for maintenance activities.
