Caloocan runs supreme over visiting Bacolod
The Caloocan Supremos-Victory Liner ran past the Bacolod Master's Sardines, , to wrap up Thurday games in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Lakan Cup at the Caloocan Sports Complex.
The Supremos outrebounded the visiting Bacolod, 50-31, as well in second chance points, 23-8.

AJ Mandani then stole the ball on the passing lane, running the length of the floor for a buzzer-beating layup, 43-34, in favor of Caloocan.

This however was capitalized by Caloocan as Paul Sanga and John Carlos Escalambre waxed hot in the closing seconds by alternately drilling four triples to erect a 19-point advantage. Tallo then ended the quarter for Bacolod with a left-handed layup making it 51-68.
Paulo Javelona desperately carried his squad but Caloocan's firepower proved to be better all night long.
Pacquiao and Damian Lasco led their team with 14 points apiece, followed by Escalambre with 13.
Javelona had another monster night of 30 points but his counterpart Mark Tallo only had 10 points.
The Supremos are now starting to pile up the wins, clinching their last three for a 4-5 win-loss record while Bacolod lost four of their last five games, also at 4-5.
Caloocan will again host the MPBL on August 15 to entertain the visiting SOCCSKSARGEN Marlins while Bacolod will be at the Bacoor City Strikers' place on August 13.
