Caloocan receives AstraZeneca vaccines
The city government of Caloocan received on July 19 the first batch of AstraZeneca vaccine doses that it purchased, according to a report by Manila Bulletin.
According to the City Health Department, they received 17,200 of the 600,000 doses of the vaccine that the local government bought.
The city also received 10,300 doses of Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen single-shot vaccine from the national government.
The 7,500 J&J vaccine doses will be administered to the A2 priority group or senior citizens starting Wednesday, July 21.
As of Saturday, July 17, a total of 244, 263 individuals have been fully vaccinated while 409, 300 individuals received their first dose.
