Caloocan inmates given free teledermatology check-up

Libreng teledermatology consultation o check-up sa balat para sa Caloocan City Jail inmates o Persons Deprived of Liberty (PLDs) ang isinagawa sa Caloocan City Medical Center kahapon, September 14, 2021.

Katuwang ang Philippine Dermatological Society Outreach Committee at Valenzuela Medical Center, nasa 20 inmates ang nasuri ng mga espesyalista. Sila ay padadalhan din ng libreng gamot na inireseta para makatulong sa kanilang partikular na sakit sa balat.

Taos-pusong ipinaabot ni Mayor Oca Malapitan ang pasasalamat sa bumubuo ng Philippine Dermatological Society Outreach Committee, Valenzuela Medical Center at mga kawani ng Pamahalaang Lungsod mula sa Caloocan City Medical Center.

"Maraming salamat sa makabuluhang programang ito. Makakatutulong ito sa mga PDL upang maiwasan o gumaling ang kanilang mga nakukuhang sakit sa balat," aniya.

"Bago ang pandemya, talagang pumupunta ang ating team sa City Jail mismo para magsagawa ng check-up. Pero dahil sa pandemya, gagawin muna itong teleconsultation. Naniniwala ako na sa kabila ng pandemya, tunay na kinakailangan pa rin natin lingapin at pagmalasakitan ang lahat ng nasa ating lipunan," dagdag ng Punong-Lungsod.

Ang teledermatology consultation ay isasagawa linggo-linggo nang sa gayon ay marami pang PDLs ang mabigyan ng libreng konsultasyon.
