Caloocan's Barangay 12 under lockdown until May 30
Caloocan City extended the total lockdown imposed on Barangay 12 to May 30, 2020.
Originally, the lockdown on the barangay, which started May 7, would have been lifted at 11:59 p.m. of May 23.
But the city decided to extend it “due to the continuous increase” in the number of its coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, which on Saturday (May 23) has reached 49.
Aside from that, police have also collared 47 individuals, including one minor, for going outside their houses despite the prohibition set by the authorities since the start of the lockdown.
On the other hand, the public information office (PIO) said the city will also be placing several areas or streets in Barangay 28 under extreme enhanced community quarantine due to its many COVID-19 cases, which now number 32.
The PIO said it will take effect starting 11:59 p.m. of May 25 until 11:59 p.m. of May 31.
Based on the city’s health department May 23 update, Caloocan has reported 455 COVID-19 cases with 100 recoveries and 34 deaths.
