The Bureau of Internal Revenue has installed a unified tax filing center at its central office in Diliman, Quezon City, to process and receive 2018 income tax returns of individual and business taxpayers based in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Rizal, Bulacan, and Palawan.
BIR deputy commissioner for operations Arnel Guballa said the special filing booths located inside the national office training center were installed to make it easier for filers in Metro Manila and several provinces to submit their ITR on or before the April 18, 2019, deadline.
“The deadline will not be extended,” Guballa said.
The filing booths are accepting ITRs from taxpayers under the jurisdiction of Makati, Quezon City, Caloocan, and Manila revenue regions.
The Quezon City revenue region includes Rizal Province, while Caloocan includes Bulacan.
Palawan taxpayers who are in the capital region may submit their ITRs to the booth processing ITRs from the Manila revenue region.
Based on existing guidelines, ITRs must be submitted to the revenue district office where the taxpayer is registered.
